第十九届中国西部国际博览会首场海外推介会在悉尼召开

当地时间2月24日下午，第十九届中国西部国际博览会（以下简称“西博会”）海外推介会在澳大利亚悉尼举行，这是时隔4年西博会的首场海外推介会。西博会组委会秘书处秘书长、四川国际博览集团有限公司董事长就四川基本情况、四川会展业情况、西博会成效、本届西博会基本情况等在会上作介绍，大力推介宣传四川，促进交流合作，积极邀请中外嘉宾参与支持西博会，建立、拓展与四川及中国西部的合作。中国驻悉尼总领馆副总领事宋艳萍、澳大利亚前贸易与投资部长罗布、澳大利亚中国工商业委员会首席执行官艾瑞、澳大利亚企业代表海利金控投资总监品托致辞；澳大利亚中国工商业委员会主席支巧玲，澳中友好发展协会执行会长陈阳磊出席。

On the afternoon of February 24^th local time, the 19^th Western China International Fair (“WCIF”) Overseas Presentation, which is the first overseas presentation of WCIF after four-year interval, was held in Sydney, Australia. Mr. Yang Qinglong, Secretary General of the Secretariatof the Organizing Committee of WCIF and Chairman of Sichuan International Expo Group, made an introduction of Sichuan, Sichuan’s convention and exhibition industry, achievements of previous WCIFs, and the 19^th WCIF at the conference. Mr. Yang vigorously promoted Sichuan to advance cooperation and exchange, invited Chinese and foreign guests to the WCIF to establish and expand cooperation with Sichuan and Western China.  Remarks were made byMs. Song Yanping, Deputy Consul-Generalof the People’s Republic of China in Sydney, Hon Andrew Robb AO, Australian Former Minister for Trade & Investment, Ms. Alison Airey, Chief Executive Officer (NSW) of Australia China Business Council, and Mr. Marcello Pinto, Investment Director of BHG Global who is the representative of Australian enterprises. Ms. Helen Zhi Dent, President of Australia China Business Council, Mr. Stephen Chen JP, Executive President of Australia China Friendship and Development Association attended the Presentation.

杨庆龙介绍，西博会是中国在西部地区重要的投资促进、贸易合作和外交服务平台，为促进西部地区开放开发、提升四川开放型经济水平发挥了重要作用。第十九届西博会计划于2023年6月29日—7月3日在四川成都中国西部国际博览城举办，展览规模继续保持20万平方米。预计将有80个以上的国家（地区）近万家企业参展。展览将由主题展示、专业展示、生活市集、西博大舞台四大板块组成。其中，主题展示板块将为国际间投资、经济、贸易、人文合作提供平台，并展示中国国内各省的重大项目、投资机遇及特色产品。专业展示将包含数字经济、新能源、新型工业化、康养服务等多个专业展。生活市集将集中展示中国各地的特色美食小吃和特色商品。西博大舞台将通过光影、VR、AR等现代技术，通过展演推介等形式全方位、多角度展示中国西部令人陶醉的多样文化和多彩艺术。

Mr. Yang Qinglong said that WCIF is an important platform for investment promotion, trade cooperation and diplomatic services in Western China, which plays an important role in promoting the opening-up and development of the western region and enhancing Sichuan’s open economy. The 19^th WCIF is scheduled to be held from June 29 to July 3, 2023 at the Western China International Expo City in Chengdu, Sichuan, with the exhibition scale remaining 200,000 m². It is estimated that nearly 10,000 businesses from over 80 countries (regions) will participate in the exhibition. The exhibition will consist of four sections: Theme Exhibition, Professional Exhibition, WCIF Lifestyle Market and WCIF Stage. Theme Exhibition will provide a platform for international investment, economy, trade and people-to-people exchanges and cooperation, as well as display the key projects, investment opportunities and special products of different provinces in China. The Professional Exhibition will consist of exhibitions in multiple professional areas such as digital economy, new energy, new industrialization and health care service. The WCIF Lifestyle Market will focus on showing the local gourmets and snacks as well as special commodities all over China. The WCIF Stage will adopt modern technologies such as lighting, VR, and AR to showcase the diverse culture and colorful art in Western China in an all-round and multi-angle manner.

中国驻悉尼总领馆副总领事宋艳萍和澳大利亚前贸易与投资部长罗布在致辞中表示，今年6月举办的第十九届西博会，将为中澳两国企业深入开展创新合作提供良好平台，共享中国尤其是西部地区和四川巨大的发展潜力。相信此次推介会的举办，将有助于澳大利亚有关机构和企业加强对中国西部、四川省和西博会的了解，有利于进一步深化双方在各领域的投资与合作。

Ms. Song Yanping,Deputy Consul-General of the People’s Republic of China in Sydney and Hon Andrew Robb AO, Australian Former Minister for Trade & Investment,bothnoted that the 19^th WCIF held in June this year will provide a great platform for Chinese and Australian companies to deepen innovative cooperation and share the huge development potential of China, especially Western China and Sichuan. It is believed that this Presentation will help Australian organizations and businesses get a better understanding of Western China, Sichuan and the WCIF, and will boost the investment and cooperation of both parties across the board.

据了解，本届西博会将继续邀请国家领导、外国政要、部长级官员、重要国际组织负责人、境外商协会代表、企业家、学者等来出席。在今年的西博会上，将继续举办一些专业论坛，一些历届西博会举办过的重大活动仍将举办：包括西博会欢迎会、开幕式、中国西部国际合作论坛、中国西部国际采购商大会、中国西部投资说明会暨经济合作项目签约仪式等。

It is known that this WCIF will continue to invite Party and state leaders, foreign dignitaries, ministerial-level officials, heads of international organizations, representatives of foreign trade associations, entrepreneurs and scholars. At this WCIF, a number of professional forums will continue to be held, and some of the major events that have been held at previous WCIFs will also be held, including the Welcome Reception, Opening Ceremony, The Western China International Cooperation Forum, Western China International Sourcing Fair, and Western China Investment Promotion Fair & Contract Signing Ceremony of Economic Cooperation Projects.

Approximately 100 people attended the Presentation including officials of Government of New South Wales, officials of Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in Sydney, heads of Australia China Business Council, Australia China Friendship Development Association, KPMG, Australia Sichuan Business Association, and representatives from other Australian trade associations and Australian enterprises, and media fromXinhua News Agency Sydney Bureau, CCTV Sydney Bureau, People’s Daily Online Australia, Australian Chinese Daily, Sydney Today, Australian Financial News, 2CK Media, etc.

During the event, the participants had in-depth exchanges and lively discussions, further deepening their knowledge and understanding of Western China and Sichuan, which greatly facilitated the invitation of exhibitors and guests to the 19^thWCIF.
